The remaining 2026 Razr lineup has been formally unveiled, consisting of the entry-level variant, the Razr+, and the Razr Ultra as the new premium offering.

It represents a prospective side-by-side comparison.

Certain wireless carriers run promotions that let you pick up the Galaxy Z Flip 7 at no cost at all. It’s still a solid device. That said, judging by the details available, Motorola’s device looks poised to outperform Samsung’s offering. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the identical chipset inside the Galaxy S25 Ultra. 

In addition, the Razr Ultra delivers 16GB of RAM rather than the 12GB found in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. So you’re looking at a premium-tier processor paired with an abundance of memory. Everything currently suggests this foldable will be a genuine powerhouse.

Battery endurance may be another win for the 2026 Razr Ultra. The spec sheet confirms a 5,000mAh battery supported by 68W TurboPower charging. It’s worth noting that Qualcomm processors are known for consuming power efficiently. Because of this, there’s a strong chance the phone will last longer throughout the day and charge at a noticeably faster rate than the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

2. You want superior photo capabilities

Judging by the numbers, photography is one category where the 2026 Motorola Razr Ultra might have a clear edge. This foldable packs a 50MP primary shooter, complemented by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP front-facing selfie camera. No matter which camera you use, expect crisp, richly detailed images with vibrant colors. The true standout is the LOFIC sensor built into the main camera.

Motorola claims it enables the phone to capture up to “6x more dynamic range,” which should mean greater precision when balancing bright highlights and deep shadows.

You won’t need to wait long to grab the new foldable. Preorders for the Razr Ultra kick off on Motorola’s website and Best Buy on May 14 at a price of $1,500. The official launch and shipping begin on May 21. It comes in two color options: Pantone Orient Blue and Pantone Cocoa (brown).
