Anthropic has introduced Claude Opus 4.5, a hybrid reasoning model for coding, agents, and computer use. The company said this new version of the Claude Opus model offers better vision, reasoning, and mathematics than predecessors. Claude Opus 4.5 is meaningfully better at everyday tasks such as deep research and working with slides and spreadsheets, Anthropic said. Claude Opus 4.5 was introduced November 24. Amazon Web Services on Monday announced a plan to build 1.3 gigawatts of compute capacity in new datacenters dedicated to serving the US government, at a cost of up to $50 billion. Adopting new technology can seem daunting, but there are already some clubs leading the charge. In August, the Productivity Commission handed down a report that framed artificial intelligence not just as a tool, but as a potentially transformational force – one that could boost Australia’s economic output by more than $116 billion over the next decade.
