The Internet of Things revolution continues to accelerate as companies race to bridge the gap between physical assets and digital intelligence. Ambient IoT technology, which harvests energy from its environment rather than requiring batteries, is emerging as a game-changer for manufacturing and supply chain operations, promising continuous real-time visibility without the maintenance burden of traditional tracking systems.
Shares of Dot Ai (Nasdaq: DAIC) are surging Tuesday after the company announced a three-year strategic partnership with Wiliot, a global leader in Ambient IoT technology. The collaboration positions Dot Ai to commercialize next-generation asset-intelligence solutions specifically designed for industrial and manufacturing environments.
Dot Ai specializes in Asset Intelligence for smart supply chain operations, harnessing real-time IoT tracking technology and AI-enhanced analytics to streamline logistics processes and bolster operational security. The company’s patented solutions leverage state-of-the-art AI engines, 5G RF and BLE technology, and seamless API integrations to provide predictive analytics that integrate with existing infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Wiliot will support Dot Ai in developing and deploying industrial applications that extend Ambient IoT deeper into factories, warehouses, and complex logistics networks. Wiliot will also supply the company with tags and cloud services for resale, creating a comprehensive technology stack for industrial asset tracking.
The partnership’s technical breakthrough centers on Dot Ai’s validation and commercialization of the first true industrial implementation of Wiliot tag technology. The company has coupled Wiliot’s chip with a patent-pending plasmonic folded ground plane structure that dramatically increases readability and range when mounted on metal or in wet environments—conditions that have historically challenged IoT tracking solutions.
Dot Ai has also released a patent-pending rugged Industrial Bridge device capable of reading these enhanced tags as well as other Wiliot-enabled labels across various applications. These innovations expand the range of industrial use cases from high-value retail supply chain tracking to production line applications, full warehouse inventory automation, metal skids, shipping containers, and outdoor laydown yards.
“This partnership solidifies our commitment to extend the power of Ambient IoT into the heart of industrial asset intelligence,” said Ed Nabrotzky, Chief Executive Officer of Dot Ai. “By developing industrial components to interface with Wiliot’s technology, we are able to collect additional data in our target environments to deliver the continuous, in-process intelligence that complex supply chains demand.”
The addition of in-process Ambient IoT data collection represents a significant enhancement to Dot Ai’s ecosystem. Combined with legacy data collection systems, the company continues strengthening its ability to deliver real-time asset visibility across complex facilities, unlocking what executives describe as “the next frontier of asset intelligence and AI-empowered workflows.”
Shares of DAIC are up 47.6% to $0.584 in Tuesday afternoon trading.
