The retail landscape underwent a seismic shift in late 2025 as a landmark investigation by Consumer Reports (CR), in collaboration with Groundwork Collaborative and More Perfect Union, exposed the staggering scale of AI-driven “surveillance pricing.” The report, released in December 2025, revealed that major delivery platforms and retailers are using sophisticated machine learning algorithms to abandon the traditional “one price for all” model in favor of individualized pricing. The findings were so explosive that Instacart (NASDAQ: CART) announced an immediate halt to its AI-powered item price experiments just days before the start of 2026, marking a pivotal moment in the…
Berkshire Hathaway has been selling Apple stock throughout the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution.Over the last three years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a theme so influential that the broader market seems to ebb and flow based on this singular narrative. While just about every major investment fund on Wall Street can’t seem to get enough of AI, Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett — who just retired as CEO — has primarily stuck to his…
Google Cloud today at the KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2025 conference disclosed it is making available a public preview of an orchestration framework for managing multiple Kubernetes clusters. Laura Lorenz, a software engineer for Google Cloud, told conference attendees the Multi-Cluster Orchestra (MCO) service will, in addition to making it simpler to optimally manage fleets of Kubernetes clusters, also provide more granular control over how IT infrastructure resources are dynamically allocated.
